♥ "Practically perfect in every way".

Forget to share this beauty.....
Was strolling through my mom's closet the other day, and found a treasure:

It's a hand carpet bag.   As I have longed for a carpet bag of my own since I was nursed on watching Mary Poppins.

I am pretty sure this scene has effected me much in my style.

One day, I will own those light purple shoes with the buckles to boot.

I don't know about you, but one of my favorite things to do when I was little was a pull a stool up to the sink, grab a spoon full of water. Sipping it scrumptiously, making a "awwh" of satisfaction and declaring,

"Rrrrum Punch"

♥ you gotta be kind to yourself

From head...

So it wasn't the one tone color that I wanted. Apparently the Japanese deep black dye is heavy duty on the mean side-so I get this waterfall blonde to black effect. It's growing on me. Whatddya think?

To toe...

After my hair, I called into the Pop's asking if I could go get my nails done. Thanks again daddy <3 I went with a jade green base, with red/brown tip, with white deco flowers. Sadly my camera on my iphone doesn't do good up close.

And in the inbetween...

A fifty dollar run to the giving tree. Gotta love the random presents to yourself.

Sooo.....

To start off. The Dress that is adorned with the print that looks like you would find it in a dentist office's bathroom. I love how it makes my waist look super smaller at the top. It always make me happy to find a dress that shows my figure. Also, the winged sleeves. I am pretty sure this is gonna be a pull off after I loose several pounds as well as it is kinda tight in the bust. To top if off, ONE DOLLAR!

So next, a three-in-one. Can't see well here, but I will give you a small in look.
The outer piece is is one of those vest that is longer in the front than the back with crochet at the top. The print-stripes, cheetah, zebra, maroon/forest green/deep blue mix. Awesome. Eight dollars, even better.

The outer top is a purple loose tank with straps that come it to a V in the back. Hugs me right where I want it to.  Another whopping, eight dollars.

The tank top is a brown fit tank that goes past my knoo-knoos. The kind that can stretch with pajama's till dresses. ONE DOLLA'!

So what I love about this is that I have no idea what to do with it-but it was also ONE DOLLA'! I am thinking a waist belt and leggings with this = gold.

Mom just called a moo-moo. I say even a moo-moo can be cured with my brown braided belt. Look forward to experimenting with this one in the future.

So what I like about these is that they made me want to buy them. I mean I have  sworn that my next boyfriend is going to be at least seven feet taller than me. But I still have a big complex about being taller than guys. But, they were gold. They were broken in. And the heel didn't kill me when i walked. They are super comfy.
Not to mention, only EIGHT DOLLARS! Or five, I forget. Ahaha.

So this is one of the most fun things of the night. The satin pink baby headband. There was another one that was a sorta teal, but as I have SOOO many blue head things-I had to go for the pink. No regrets though. I am excited to sport this out.

So aren't these a pretty number? Looked for dang-ly earrings, and picked these. The reach almost down to my ka-neck. Adventurous land I have ever stepped into before. Oh, and five dollars.

By the way, for those wondering. All was purchased at my FAVORITE store in Omaha, The giving tree. A great mixture of boutique and vintage/retro/lightly loved clothes. They have clothes fro $1 to probably in the 100's. I am a fan of the cheap, but love getting ideas from the expensive stuff. Great everything. My must every time I come back home.

The Giving Tree

Now, I am a firm believer that things don't bring happiness-the only JOY i receive is from ABOVE. Thanks Jesus. But, things DO make a day better sometimes.

Girls, love yourselves enough to splurge once and a while.
You gotta be kinda to yourself, badda duh duh, badda duh duh

♥ Something daring

So, I thought I would try something a little daring. Something I have not really done too much of since high school. Mashing two prints.
Now you have to realize, I have only really two rules in my dress code.

1. That I don't look too fat in it.

2.  That I put together whatever two things I like, regardless if they don't match or follow any "fashion rules".

In high school (especially) this rule really took over. As I get older and look back at pictures I think "wow that was a shouldn't" But I am a firm believer that trying and making mistakes to find "your style" in fashion is a must. The more mistakes you make the closer you get to  your inner "this represents ME" look. So I don't know if tonight was a miss or a hit-but I took a swing because I like batting.

Top off with my "this always happens" print t-shirt as an undershirt. So far away from any ぶり以外のファション通

I liked the colors together, and haven't worn this skirt as I left it in my closet while off in Japan. (as they were pretty big over there I totally should have brought it though).

Excuse the "bathroom" shot-especially since it is not my own. I still didn't know if the mix was a good idea-as I am trying to get away from my showy look from high school (aka bright colors on top of back)-until I went into the bathroom and was like.

"Hmmm, lets check this out again."

(Top from an Austrialian friend $0, xhilaration skirt $15, My chemical romance T. Oro shirt $20)

I liked it-and that is all that matters at the end of the night to me.

♥ something new, old and blue

When I was out with me madre yesterday we happened to stop by Target. Good ol' bullseye-we meet again.

It didn't let me down either, a new scarf for me. On clearance, for $10.

I figure a shawl. A wrap around the front that comes to a point at the back to accent the curves in turn creating a slimming effect. Or a throw on a chair. Either way. I liked the pattern, colors, and it's pretty big.

Also, would like to introduce to you an old friend (apparently). Found this in my mom's closet (type-thing), and after I noted that I liked it, and she let me know that it was MINE since I was five years old. I will always be a sucker for denim bows-guess I was right, it's her fault.

welcome to the club.....

♥ girls are all on the same wavelength

One of my favorite movies when I was little was "Gidget". A coming of age story of sheltered "little" girl who finds herself and her love on the waves among a bunch of beach bums one summer. When I think of this movie-I always remember the scene when she was trying to "bust up" by pushing her arms out and in while a friend (who looks like she enjoys boobs more than you know) counts off for her.

Image Change. イメチェン。

Even though I am one who wants to lessen her bust size, I still love to change my look. Especially hair. Since high school I have lost count off the shades my dead protein has taken. And here we go again,

It's not the color I am aiming for, but just starting with the process. SO a good 125, new color and waxed eyebrows and moustache later-I will be going back next week to probably spend another 80 or 100 to get to the color that I am aiming for. It socks a suckerpunch to the wallet when you have hair amount of five more girls.

Speaking of, my butt and gut have been getting to the size of at least three young kids. Starting that diet with me papa tomorrow.  Just look at that pudgey mug. Aiming for 70lbs. Holy burger buns.

We all want a change.

♥ so before I drift off...

デコるタイム〜!

So if you've heard-which you haven't. My iphone 3g which I have had for two years, is in a serious headache of a crackup job-so it's upgrade time. And do to the graces of my papa, i am getting the なんとIphone 4g! Holy snipes. So THIS time-I am going to buy a heavy-duty-case and デコる.

SO the list is:
  • light blue Swarovski Crystal Elementals
  • light purple Swarovski Crystal Elementals
  • brown and gold Swarovski Crystal Elementals
  • one winding down branch Swarovski Crystal Elementals charm
  • one yellow rose Swarovski Crystal Elementals
  • two "boots" charms
  • ruffed up alphabet boxes
  • a big-arse emblem type thing that probably won't even fit on
  • and a rough idea
Look forward to the finished project. Will update you on the way. Cool.  Yeah, and by the way 60 dollars. Ouch. Looks like I will be working it off on my mom's porch tomorrow.

By the way,イメチェン tomorrow. Going for Tsubasa's color-third time around. However since I am blacked-out right now-might take a couple of dyes. Think of getting bleach blonde strands underneath as well.

Welp. Nights.

♥ how'dja do?

Howdy, my name is Britni Grace Dodd-and I like second hand shops. In japan recycle shops. Vintage boutiques. The goodwill. The garage sale down the street.

In other words, I like worn in clothing with crazy lovable you were just looking for that, but maybe quite not, heck it cheaps and that will go with my knecklace from highschool shopping. I like making things pretty. I like pretty things.

So before I get old, lets write 'em down. You can look if you want. Pass on along if you feel so inclined. But, I won't be writing much, as I don't like it. Even if I did, that would not be in English anyway.

So think of this as a picture book, eh?
